On Being A Sentinel

By | Awareness, Charlottesville, David Ault, Oneness, Politics, Spirituality | No Comments

The job of a sentinel is to stand and keep watch. Hyper vigilance and keen awareness are not only essential but are a part of the sentinel’s duty. No distractions. Stay awake. With this position there is no room for privileged thoughts of absention and circumventing. You are there to safeguard and protect. When you professed your belief in oneness, you became a spiritual sentinel. The oppressive bias and elitist ignorance that is the core of racism has long attacked those who have dared to declare their independence. The final hour of that abusive privilege is here and there is no…

No One Is Betraying You

By | Betrayal, Change, Ernest Holmes, Intentional Living, Spirituality, Vibrational Awareness | No Comments

No one is betraying you. Each person you encounter is honoring your practiced vibrational atmosphere. Before anything surfaces in our experience, the theme of that experience first appeared within our thoughts. And, it wasn’t just a one time mental drive by.  The corresponding thought was something that drove round and round in our mind and eventually parked in the lot of our belief system. We champion this idea when we hear how Olympic athletes habitually thought of a winning performance so loyally that when the winning moment arrived they remarked it was like any other day. They had been succeeding at their desired goal within…

Gratitude Is A Lifestyle

By | Gratitude, Thanksgiving | One Comment

Gratitude is a lifestyle, not an expression reserved for a special occasion. To practice gratitude requires something of you. Mainly, it is to see the light of truth in all situations. What a journey our souls signed up for – to walk this planet, in this incarnation, and to reawaken daily to the practice – the deliberate choosing, of seeing the Divine in all things. It is your soul’s assignment and it is what you and I came here to do. This season of  Thanksgiving, whether we gather with family and friends, or find ourselves alone, our souls need our cooperation. Just like it does everyday, our true…

Drop And Give Me Twenty

By | Affirmation, Conscious Remembering | No Comments

The military drill, ‘drop and give me twenty’, can be used as transformative spiritual tool. Everyone of us yearns for a higher quality of life.  With each consciously lived day, we become aware that this higher quality is not only possible but certain given our conscious cooperation with the fundamentals of Spiritual Law. When writing my book, The Grass Is Greener Right Here, I recalled a Sunday service long ago where a minister took a potato and tossed it, surprisingly, into the crowd. He shouted, “Pretend it’s hot!” The crowd began earnestly passing it through the auditorium with minimal contact. “That,” he…

Keep Showing Up

By | Consistency | No Comments

Training, practice, commitment, accountability…..these are all words that we use regularly to describe our role in consciousness development as we embark upon a higher quality of life. And I think it accurate to say that we have stretches of time where we seem to excel at the implementation of these words in our lives and other times where our focus becomes fuzzy – our trust in the idea that all things are working together for our good begins to wane. And if left with only one powerful suggestion to offer anyone who was experiencing that fuzziness and waning what would it be? I would choose this……..

The Cardinal

By | Conscious Remembering, Inner Vision, Spirituality | No Comments

There is a cardinal that often visits our backyard. These visits are nothing out of the ordinary. Plenty of birds visit the dense tree population of our neighborhood. Yet, the male cardinal, with its striking red coloring stands out in the summer landscape of deep greens and browns and the stark winter pallet of gray. Of all there is to see, my eye is immediately directed to him wherever he is perched. There is no denying his presence. I continue to affirm that my inner vision sees spiritual truth in the same way. This truth teaches and reminds us that all is well, all the…
